Tůma, František Ignác Antonín (1704–1774)

Bohemian viola da gamba player and composer. He wrote church music and chamber pieces in the late baroque style.

He had arrived in Vienna by 1729, and studied with Johann Fux. By 1731 he was in the service of Count Kinsky, and remained there until 1741. He then became kapellmeister to the Dowager Empress Elisabeth Christina until 1750. He retired to a monastery in 1768.
