Tumagian, Eduard (1944– )

Romanian baritone. He sang at the Bucharest Opera from 1968, as Alfonso, Mozart's Count, and Wolfram; at Strasbourg from 1974, as Scarpia, Escamillo, Belcore, and Eugene Onegin; with the Welsh National Opera and the English National Opera ensemble; and in the USA, where he made his debut in 1986 as Don Carlo in La Forza del destino/The Force of destiny (at Pittsburgh) and sang Nabucco and in Béatrice et Benédict. Other roles include Simon Boccanegra, Verdi's Montfort (at La Scala, Milan), and Rigoletto.
