Tupper, Charles (1821–1915)
| Canadian politician, prime minister 1896. As premier of Nova Scotia 1864–67, he played a leading part in bringing his province into the confederation. He was sent to London 1884 as Canadian high commissioner. He held the office of prime minister for only six months. |
