Turini, Francesco (c. 1589–1656)

Italian composer. His father Gregorio Turini was cornett player and composer to the Emperor Rudolph II in Prague, but died early, whereupon the emperor sent Turini to Venice and Rome to study music and later made him his chamber organist. He left Prague in 1624 to become cathedral organist at Brescia.
