turnkey project

Large-scale project, such as the building of a manufacturing plant, where the supplier builds, installs, and tests production processes before handing the plant over. The plant is then ready to start ‘at the turn of a key’. In computing, the term is used to describe an IT system that is delivered and installed ready to run.
