Turnus

In Virgil's Aeneid, king of the Rutuli on the coast of Latium, and the most vigorous opponent of the Trojans. He waged war on the Trojan hero Aeneas because he had married Lavinia, formerly his betrothed, but was finally killed in Italy by his rival.

Turnus's chief ally was the Volscian warrior Camilla.
