Tywyn

Coastal resort in Gwynedd, northwest Wales, situated on Cardigan Bay; population (2001) 3,250. Its church of St Cadfan is a fine example of Norman architecture, and the largest Norman church in the area. Inside the church is an inscribed stone dating from the 7th century, thought to be the most ancient example of the use of the Welsh language.
