Uckfield

Town in East Sussex, southeast England, 13 km/8 mi northeast of Lewes; population (2001) 13,700. To the south is the Bentley Wildfowl Trust and to the northwest is Sheffield Park, with fine gardens and the Bluebell Line railway.

The 7ft bronze has proved a hit outside the church of Our Lady Immaculate and St Phillip Neri in Uckfield.
Jurors convicted serial adulterer Chenery-Wickens, of Duddleswell, near Uckfield, East Sussex, of murder following a trial lasting more than a month.
Of the 12 people injured only one, a 39-year-old from Uckfield who was a passer-by at the time of the blast, is still in hospital.
