Ugolini, Vincenzo (c. 1580–1638)

Italian composer. He was a pupil of Bernardino Nassini. He was maestro di cappella at the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, 1603–09. He then retired after a severe illness, but in 1610 became maestro di cappella at Benevento Cathedral and returned in 1616 to Rome, where after some other appointments he became Soriano's successor in the Julian Chapel in 1620 and maestro di cappella of San Luigi dei Francesi in 1631, a post he had held 1616–20.
