Universal City

Area in the southeast San Fernando Valley section of Los Angeles, California. It is located 14 km/9 mi northwest of Los Angeles city centre and to the north of the Cahuenga Pass. With the arrival of the Universal Studios from Hollywood in the 1960s, it quickly became a centre of the US entertainment industry.

Universal City

Town in Bexar County, south-central Texas; population (1990) 13,100. It is located 23 km/14 mi northeast of San Antonio city centre. One of a cluster of largely residential suburbs, it adjoins Randolph Air Force Base, to the northwest.
