Urio, Francesco Antonio (c. 1632–1719 or later)

Italian priest and composer. A Franciscan monk, he was maestro di cappella at the church of SS Apostoli in Rome in 1690, seven years later at the Frari church in Venice, and finally from 1715 at S Francesco in Milan.

Choral

Te Deum (once attributed to Handel, who borrowed from it for his Dettingen Te Deum, Saul, Israel in Egypt, and L'Allegro); oratorios.

Other vocal

motets and psalms for voices and instruments.
