Ussachevsky, Vladimir (Aleksei) (1911–1990)| US composer of Russian parentage. He moved to the USA in 1930 and studied with Hanson at the Eastman School. He was professor at Columbia University, New York, 1964–80, and collaborated with Luening in pioneering the development of electronic music. |
