V bombs

German flying bombs of World War II, launched against the UK 1944 and 1945. Many thousands were killed in air raids on London using these weapons

The V1, also called the doodlebug and buzz bomb, was an uncrewed monoplane with an explosive warhead, powered by a simple kind of jet engine called a pulse jet. The V2, a rocket bomb with a preset guidance system, was the first long-range ballistic missile.
