Valentino (1932– )
| Italian fashion designer. He opened his fashion house in Rome 1959. He opened his first ready-to-wear boutique ten years later, before showing the line in Paris from 1975. He launched his menswear collection 1972. His designs are characterized by simplicity – elegantly tailored suits and coats, usually marked with a V in the seams. |
