Van Damm, Sheila (1922–1987)

English motor-racing driver and theatre owner. She first drove in a rally in 1950 as a publicity stunt to advertise her father's Windmill Theatre, and won the Ladies' European Touring Championships in 1954. After inheriting the Windmill in 1960, she turned to full-time management but was forced to close in 1964. She published her autobiography No Excuses in 1957.
