Vergnet, Edmond (1850-1904)

French tenor. He made his debut at the Paris Opéra, in 1874 where he continued to sing from 1875 to 1893. In 1881 he performed in London as Radames and Faust at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; he also appeared in the first performance of Massenet's Hérodiade at Brussels. Other roles included Samson, Florestan, and Lohengrin.
