Vidalia

Town in Toombs and Montgomery counties, southeast Georgia; population (1990) 11,100. It is located 120 km/75 mi west-northwest of Savannah. Famous for the sweet onions grown in the region, the town is also home to fertilizer, cottonseed oil, and turpentine industries.
