Vierdanck, Johann (c. 1605–1646)

German organist and composer. He learnt music as a choirboy in the court chapel at Dresden, where he subsequently served as an instrumentalist. From 1635 until his death he was organist at St Mary's Church, Stralsund.

Works sacred concertos for two–nine voices; dances for two violins, viol and continuo, capriccios, canzonets and sonatas for two–five instruments with and without continuo.
