Visse, Dominique (1955– )

French countertenor. He studied singing with Alfred Deller and René Jacobs. He made his opera debut in L'incoronazione di Poppea/The Coronation of Poppaea at Tourcoing, 1982. He has sung with Les Arts Florissants and other ensembles in Vivaldi's L'incoronazione di Dario/The Coronation of Dario (1984), Charpentier's Actéon (Edinburgh 1985), and as Nirenus in Giulio Cesare at the Paris Opéra (1987). He sang Delfa in Cavalli's Giasone at Innsbruck, and Annio in Gluck's Clemenza di Tito/The Clemency of Titus at Lausanne (1991). Recordings include Hasse's Cleofide, Rameau's Anacréon and Cavalli's Xerse.
