Amorphophallus

Genus of the Araceae (Arum lily) family found in the East Indies. The rhizome produces a single enormous leaf annually (up to 3 m/10 ft long) and a very large spadix (flower cluster), bearing both male and female flowers. In the species Amorphophallus titanum the spadix is sometimes 3 m/10 ft tall.
