VukovarRiver port in Croatia at the junction of the rivers Vuka and Danube, 32 km/20 mi southeast of Osijek; population (2001) 30,100. Industries include foodstuffs manufacture, fishing, and agricultural trade. In 1991 the town resisted three months of siege by the Serb-dominated Yugoslav army before capitulating.
