Wakatipu

Lake in southwestern South Island, New Zealand, in the Southern Alps. It is 83 km/52 mi long, 5 km/3 mi wide, 378 m/1,242 ft deep, and 300 m/1,000 ft above sea level. The lake is a major tourist destination, with activities including fishing, sailing, boating, and sports.
