Waldteufel (1837–1915)

French composer and pianist. He joined a piano factory and was later appointed pianist to the Empress Eugénie. He had great success as a composer of waltzes.

He studied at the Paris Conservatory.

Works

many hundreds of waltzes and other dances, including a waltz on Chabrier's España.
