Walker, Ralph Thomas (1889–1973)| US architect. He was known for his 1920s art deco skyscrapers; later he designed numerous laboratories and research centres. He was acclaimed in 1957 by the American Institute of Architects as ‘the architect of the century’ and by Frank Lloyd Wright as ‘the only other architect in America’. He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. |
