Walker River

River in west Nevada; length 80 km/50 mi. It is formed in Lyon County, 56 km/35 mi southeast of Carson City, by the confluence of the East and West Walker rivers, which rise on the California state border in the Sierra Nevada. It flows north, then curves south around the Wassuk Range, passing through the Walker River Indian Reservation, then emptying into Walker Lake; length 38 km/24 mi; width 5–13 km/3–8 mi; depth 300 m/1,000 ft deep.
