Wallace and Gromit

Animated clay characters created by English animator Nick Park. Wallace, a northern working-class inventor, and his canine sidekick Gromit starred in the short films A Grand Day Out (1989), in which they build a space rocket to the Moon in search of cheese; The Wrong Trousers (1993), in which they capture a criminal mastermind; and A Close Shave (1995), in which they save a flock of sheep from an evil robot dog. The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave both won Academy Awards. They starred in the feature film The Curse of the Were-Rabbit in 2005.
