Walliser, Christoph Thomas (1568–1648)

German composer. He was a pupil of Vulpius and others. In 1599 he became a teacher at the Academy, and later was appointed music director of two churches at Strasbourg.

Works

incidental music for Aristophanes' The Clouds and other plays; Ecclesiodae containing psalms for four–six voices (1614), Ecclesiodae novae including Te Deum, litany, etc., for four–seven voices (1625), German psalms for five voices and other church music.
