Hunt, Ward (1810–1886)

US Supreme Court justice. He served on the New York state legislature in 1838 and as mayor of Utica in 1844. An early Republican Party organizer, he served in the US Court of Appeals 1865–72 and the US Supreme Court 1873–82.

He was born in Utica, New York.
