Ward, Maisie (1889–1975)

English religious publisher and author. She was cofounder, with her husband, of the Catholic publishing company, Sheed & Ward. An author in her own writer, her own works include a biography of G K Chesterton. Ward was born in England and was descended from prominent English Catholics. She married Frank Sheed in 1926, and in 1940 the moved to the USA, where they established a US branch of Sheed & Ward.
