Waupun

Town in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties, east Wisconsin; population (1990) 8,200. It is located 27 km/17 mi southwest of Fond du Lac, in a farming and dairying region. Waupun processes dairy products and produces beverages and canned vegetables. Its manufactures include shoes, vulcanizing machinery, brake linings, foundry products, and pumps and tanks. The town is known for its sculptures by such artists as Lorado Taft and James Earle Fraser.
