Wauseon

Town and administrative headquarters of Fulton County, northwest Ohio; population (1990) 6,300. It is located 52 km/32 mi west-southwest of Toledo. Local manufactures include aircraft and automobile parts, electrical equipment, and food products. There is farming and dairying in the area. Pioneer auto racer Barney Oldfield was born here in 1878.
