Webcast

World Wide Web equivalent of a radio or television broadcast. Any service that is regularly or continuously updated – such as sports results and share price information – can be described as a Webcast, but the term is increasingly used for live events where sounds and images are transmitted in a format such as RealPlayer or Windows Media.
