Weil, Bruno (1949– )

German conductor. He studied in Vienna and was music director at Augsburg Opera (1979–89). He gave concerts with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra from 1979 and Deutsche Oper, Berlin from 1980. He made his Vienna Staatsoper debut in 1985, with Aïda; he conducted Don Giovanni at the 1988 Salzburg Festival. His US debut was made with a New York Schubertiade, in 1988. He conducted Così fan tutte/All Women Do It at Glyndebourne, in 1992.
