Welch, Raquel (1940– )

US actor. She was a sex symbol of the 1960s and 1970s in such films as One Million Years BC (1966), Myra Breckinridge (1970), and The Three Musketeers (1973). Later films include Wild Party (1975), Crossed Swords (1978), Chairman of the Board (1998), and Legally Blonde (2001).

In the 1980s she launched a cabaret act, and even made it to Broadway, taking over the lead in the musical Woman of the Year. She has also starred in a number of television films, including The Legend of Walks Far Woman (1982), Right to Die (1987), Scandal in a Small Town and Trouble in Paradise (both 1988), and Sudden Feat (2002).
