Uszler was the editor of Piano & Keyboard, a former editor for American Music Teacher, coauthor of The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher (now in its second edition) Sound Choices: Guiding Your Child's Musical Experiences, The Pedagogy Major in the College Curriculum: Undergraduate and Graduate Levels, and the author of Play It Again, Sam; That's a Good Question; and Time Flies.
An active pedagogue, Gordon is well known as chair of keyboard studies at the University of Southern California and is co-author along with Marienne Uszler of The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher and creator of A History of Keyboard Literature: Music for the Piano and Its Forerunners.
Marienne Uszler was editor of Piano & Keyboard and American Music Teacher, coauthor of The Well-Tempered Keyboard Teacher and Sound Choices and recipient of the Frances Clark Keyboard Pedagogy Award.
