Wendover

Town in Buckinghamshire, England, 8 km/5 mi southeast of Aylesbury, on the edge of the Chiltern Hills; population (2001) 8,500. An ancient drovers' road, the Ridgeway (Icknield Way), passes through the town, and Coombe Hill, one of the highest points of the Chilterns (260 m/852 ft), lies to the west.

The church, containing much 13th-century work, has a 14th-century tower.

At one time Wendover was a pocket borough returning two members to Parliament.
