West Tisbury

Town in Dukes County, southeast Massachusetts; population (2000 est) 2,500. It is in west-central Martha's Vineyard. It is a popular summer resort with some agriculture, including a winery. The Martha's Vineyard airport is to the east. The town was incorporated in 1892.

West Tisbury was originally a mill site. Features include the nearby Cedar Tree Neck Nature Preserve.
