Westerville

Town in Delaware and Franklin counties, central Ohio; population (1990) 30,200. It is located 16 km/10 mi northeast of Columbus, of which it is a commuter suburb. It is home to Otterbein College (1847).

Hanby House is maintained as a state historical site. From 1909–48, the national headquarters of the Anti-Saloon League was located in Westerville, which was known as ‘the Dry Capital of America’.
