Westport House

Classical early Georgian house and a seat of the Marquess of Sligo, at Westport, County Mayo, Republic of Ireland. It was designed by Richard Castle about 1730 using the existing fortified house, and alterations were made in the 18th century by Thomas Ivory and James Wyatt. The dining room contains particularly good examples of plasterwork by Wyatt.
