Whitmore, Frank Clifford

Whitmore, Frank Clifford (1887–1947)

US organic chemist. After teaching at several universities, he became affiliated with Pennsylvania State College (later University) from 1929 to 1947. There he did his most important work, on the nature of intramolecular rearrangements of organic molecules. Whitmore was born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
