Wickliffe

Town in Lake County, northeast Ohio; population (1990) 14,600. It is located 21 km/13 mi northeast of Cleveland, and 3 km/2 mi south of Lake Erie. It is chiefly a residential suburb of Cleveland, though there is some industry, manufacturing pipe machinery, lubricants, tools, and cranes. Wickliffe is the home to the Rabbinical Telshe Yeshiva College (1876) and the Roman Catholic Borromeo Seminary (1953).
