Wiener Werkstätte

Group of artisans and artists, founded in Vienna in 1903 by Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser, who were both members of the Vienna Sezession. They designed objects, ranging from furniture and jewellery to metal and books, in a rectilinear art nouveau style influenced by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The workshop, financed by Fritz Wärndorfer, closed in 1932.
