Johnson, William (1715–1774)
| Irish-born American colonial baron and Indian agent. He gained the full confidence of the Iroquois tribes, especially Mohawks. He became their agent in 1754 and led militiamen and Iroquois in a victory over the French at Lake George in 1755. |
