Wilton

Town in Fairfield County, southwest Connecticut; population (1990) 16,000. It is situated on the Norwalk River and the New York state border. Formerly a quiet exurb, it has undergone dramatic growth in the last decades of the 20th century, with a boom in corporate office and commercial space, as well as increasing suburbanization.
