Windham

Town in Windham County, northeast Connecticut; population (1990) 22,000. The town merged with the more industrial Willimantic in 1983.

Windham

Town in Cumberland County, southwest Maine; population (1990) 13,000. It is situated on the Presumpscot River and Sebago Lake. North Windham, 24 km/15 mi northwest of Portland, is retail centre for the Sebago region, with several shopping malls. South Windham, an industrial village, lies in two townships, with a residential and business section in Gorham and factories in Windham. St Joseph's College (1912) is in Windham.
