Witt, Katarina

Witt, Katarina (1965– )

German ice-skater. She was 1984 Olympic champion (representing East Germany) and retained her title four years later. She also won four world titles (1984–85, 1987–88) and six consecutive European titles (1983–88). After four years as a professional she returned to competitive skating in 1993.
