Earlier this year the Chronicle reported that his baby daughter Toni Scott was born prematurely on April 5, weighing just 2lb 8oz, with the genetic disorder Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome.
Little Ollie Millington, one of just 86 babies in Britain with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, was given only days to live when she was born.
Melanie Scott, 27, of Pegswood, Morpeth, paid tribute to the doctors and nurses who helped her baby Toni, who was diagnosed with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome shortly after she was born eight weeks prematurely on April 5.
