Woodward, Richard (1743–1777)| Irish organist and composer. He learnt music as a choirboy at Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, where his father, Richard Woodward, was vicar-choral; in 1765 he was appointed organist there. He became Doctor of Music at Trinity College, Dublin, in 1771. |
