Woolrich, John (1954– )

English composer. He has taught at Durham, the Guildhall School of Music in London, Dartington, and Reading. The Ghost in the Machine for orchestra was performed at the 1990 Promenade Concerts, London.

He studied with Edward Cowie at Lancaster.

The Barber's Timepiece (1986), and The Theatre Represents a Garden: Night for orchestra (1991); It is Midnight, Dr Schweitzer for strings (1992).
