Woonsocket

Industrial city in Providence County, north Rhode Island, USA; population (2000) 43,200. It is situated on the Blackstone River and Massachusetts state border, 21 km/13 mi north-northwest of Providence. Industries include rubber, chemicals, and woollen goods. Woonsocket had a 1666 sawmill, a 1720 foundry, and an 1810 cotton mill, and in 1840 began woollen manufacturing. It is still primarily a woollen and worsted centre. The city has a large French-Canadian population.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Stanley Joseph and Rosemary Coley, of Mendon, Massachusetts; a brother, Steven Christey of Burlington, Massachusetts; a sister, Maria Rockwell of Grafton, Massachusetts; four children: Daniel Harrison of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tracey Harrison of Winder, Georgia, Crystal Marley of Woonsocket, Rhode Island and Robin Marley of Burrillville, Rhode Island; niece and nephews, Tamara, Andrew and Storm Rockwell of Grafton, Massachusetts and five grandchildren.
He currently works as a peer advocate at the Alive Program in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, where he supports people with mental illness in crisis, trains consumers to be advocates, and represents Alive at board and committee meetings throughout Rhode Island.
He made his public confession at a mental health forum at Woonsocket, Rhode Island on Tuesday night.
